BREAKING: Kaduna Ministerial nominee faints during screening
A Ministerial nominee from Kaduna State, Balarabe Abbas Lawal on Tuesday collapsed while being screened in the upper legislative Chambers by Senators.
The nominee who was among the last batch of three sent to the upper Chamber by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was the second to be screened on Tuesday.
Shortly, after he was invited to the podium by the Clerk, he began to explain his profile before he tragically went down on the podium.
Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabío was heard ordering for water for the nominee amid confusion.
The Sergeant-At-Arms immediately ordered journalists covering the proceedings live out of the Chambers.
CAPITAL POST sighted Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo rushed to the National Assembly Clinic to seek for medical attention, while other Senators ran helter-skelter.
Medical personnel from the NASS clinic were working to revive the nominee at the time of filing this report.
