BREAKING: Senate screens ministerial nominees
After postponement of screening of ministerial nominees which was forwarded by President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday resumed the screening of nominees with a view to confirm them in accordance with parliamentary procedures.
The nominees were to be screened on Tuesday, but were postponed till Wednesday due to circumstances beyond the control of the upper legislative chamber.
Meanwhile the Senate began screening at exactly 1:10pm today.
All the seven nominees have been listed on the Order paper to be screened with Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda from Plateau State being the first.
Others are: Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole and Suwaiba Said Ahmad.
CAPITAL POST recalled that President Tinubu reshuffled his cabinet and appointed seven Ministers who are being screened today.
