Plateau 2023: Group pledges support for Dr. Nentawe, says he is not a tribal leader

A pressure Youth group operating under the platform of “One Voice for positive governance in Tarok Nation” has thrown its weight behind the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Plateau state Dr. Yilwatda Nentawe, saying he has the best blueprint to govern the State.

The group also noted that after a careful study of the manifesto and credentials of Nentawe, he has all that it takes to be governor of the State.

Spokesperson of the group, Comrade Nantim Ponlir in a press statement issued on Sunday to Journalists in Jos, said, Dr. Nentawe’s blueprint and Agenda on Agriculture, Critical infrastructure, Economic gender, and youth empowerment, Education, Security projects is a sound economic blueprint guaranteed to gainfully engage and promote the unity of Plateau State.

“We want to say it so loud that Dr. Nentawe’s manifesto stands him out among those vying for the seat as he is an asset for good governance.”

In their words “Dr. Nentawe would not promote politics of bitterness but rather engage in promoting peaceful co-existence as he is prepared for governance.”

The group described the APC Candidate as a unifier, a politician with no iota of tribal or religious bigotry, and capable of sustaining the unity of Plateau State.

“Dr. Nentawe would bring about Massive development to Plateau state if elected” the group further said. According to the group “As Youths, we endorse the Candidate of the APC because he has assured youths in the State that if voted into office, he would set aside 10% of the State IGR to address issues which affect us and ensure an enabling environment which would make us maximize our potentials.”

The group further said that “The governorship hopeful is determined to set up a vulnerable group trust fund to support vulnerable groups like women, youths, and people with disabilities.”

“He has promised that 10 percent of the state revenue would be reserved for the trust fund and the vulnerable people would be given grants from the trust fund to start-up businesses to make them self-reliant .”We are confident that Dr. Nentawe would be transparent, and run an all-inclusive government, while the youths would be mentored and empowered if he is elected.

According to them, the candidate has assured citizens of his resolve to tackle insecurity, unite the people and we have keyed into his manifesto.”

“As a group, we call on the people of the state to rally around Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda to ensure he emerges victorious at the forthcoming governorship election
