A group, Kogi Patriotic Group, (KPG) has alledged that Governor Yahaya Bello sponsored thugs to disguise as EndSARS
protesters alongside his loyalists and supporters to form the movement in Kogi state to avoid attacks on government officials as a result of bad governance.

The group in a statement sent to CAPITAL POST on Monday by its Coordinator, Abdul Abdul recalled that Yahaya Bello has banned all forms of public procession as well as peaceful protests in Kogi State.

He said, the protesters who were at the gate of Lugard House last week which the governor came out to address them are his thugs, loyalists and supporters, noting that as EndSARS continue to rock towns and cities across Nigeria, that of Kogi State was yet to start.

“We recalled that Kogi State Governor has banned public procession in the state for over four years now.

“He quickly arranged for fake EndSARS protesters to avoid the genuine protesters who might go out of way to express their I’ll feelings about his bad government.

“Kogi is a miscroscope of the worst leadership and decadence in governance in the last few years in Nigeria, and how comes that there is no resistance from the people.

“The people of Kogi state has been denied of job opportunities, infrastructural development, social services and a virile environment for democratic practice to thrive,so how comes this quietitude’

The group appeal to vibrant youths in Kogi to break away from Kogi state government monopoly, saying it amounts to denial of right to social justice, economic independence and political freedom if the trend continues.

He urged them to retrace their steps and form alternative force to press home the demands of non payment of salaries, pensioners, backlog of arears of cleared and uncleared staff and some wrong decision of the current administration.

Abdul maintained that it will be a disappointment to many Nigerians, for Kogi people to remain quiet when their plight was already known by many Nigerians over bad leadership.
