Kogi: Jubilation trails 100% LG workers salary payment after many years

Local Government workers and pensioners were thrown into jubilation as alerts of 100% salary and pension payment for the month of April hits their bank accounts.

Throughout Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja administration, workers have never been this lucky, hence, they have been getting per centage salaries they could not explain.

The immediate past administration of Yahaya Bello has never complained of paucity of fund as responsible for under payment of Kogi State and Local Government Council workers salaries.

There were various interventions from the Federal Government that would have afforded Yahaya Bello to pay full salaries and allowances of workers. He also has reasons to allow promotion of workers and training and retraining, but those privileges were out rightly denied in his eight years in office, until Ododo Ahmed Usman came on board as governor of Kogi State.

A LG staff who acknowledge her 100% payment expressed joy, wondering how the present governor could do things differently from his godfather. She prayed for the governor to continue to do the right things.
