Word Discovery: Seeking the Kingdom of God

Text: ‭Exodus 13:18 NLT‬
[18] So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea. Thus the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle.

‭Exodus 14:12-14 NLT‬
[12] Didn’t we tell you this would happen while we were still in Egypt? We said, ‘Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!’” [13] But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. [14] The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

God wanted to teach the Israelites to trust him. God wasn’t asking them to fight but to fix their eyes on him so he’ll take them through the wilderness.
There’s nobody who will know God and will not seek him.
Once you seek to know him, he will unveil his plan for you which is wonderful.

‭Jeremiah 29:12-13 NIV‬
[12] Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. [13] You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

God is using everything that comes your way to build your faith.

Leviticus 26vs3-13

‭1 Chronicles 16:11 NIV‬
[11] Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

God is the strength of those who seek him tirelessly.
Acts 17vs26-27

‭Psalms 34:10 NIV‬
[10] The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

‭Proverbs 8:17 NLT‬
[17] “I love all who love me. Those who search will surely find me.

‭James 4:8 NLT‬
[8] Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Purify your hearts and draw near to God.
‭Hebrews 11:6 NLT‬
[6] And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

When you see seek him, you seek his strength and might and everything that God stands for.
When you put your heart in seeking after God, he takes over. Everything that man strives for, they will get when they seek God.

‭Psalms 27:4 NLT‬
[4] The one thing I ask of the Lord— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.

Prayer: May the Lord give you the grace to leave everything in the behind and seek him in Jesus name.
