ADC woos other parties in plans to dislodge Tinubu in 2027

The African Democratic Party, ADC leadership is reaching out to other political parties with a view of forming alliance against President Bola Tinubu’s return bid in 2027.

So far, the party said,it has wooed 22 opposition elements which they are forming a consensus to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

National Chairman of ADC, Professor Ralphs Okey Nwosu gave this disclosure at a press conference which took place at the ADC Global Campus on Tuesday in Abuja.

Text of the press conference which was made available to newsmen on Friday indicated that the stakeholders of the party were at the well-attended meeting, including members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and the Board of Trustees (BoT) as well as other leaders of the ADC.

Nwosu in his address itemized President Bola Tinubu’s failures in office and urged Nigerians to vote him out in 2027, while also scoring him low in all ramifications of the economy.

He disclosed that a Committee has been set up to consult widely and wooing more opposition elements to the ADC or the proposed mega party.

Nwosu added that Tinubu’s administration lacked clear ideas on how to drive the nation forward, stressing that the mode of handling palliative to cushion the hardship occasioned by ill-advised policies was unacceptable.

“The state of the nation is nothing to talk about. It is saddening and arouses morbid fear. Therefore, instead of wasting our time engaging in futile debates with those in government, we should continue to strategise on ways to develop a new political system and come together to create a collaborative, value-driven ecosystem that prioritises our people and country.

“We certainly need a new beginning. Pointing fingers of recrimination is not what transformational leaders do,” he said, adding that 22 political parties have joined hand with the ADC to build a new mega party,” Nwosu said.

While stating that the doors of the merging parties remain open, Nwosu, however, added that the new platform will give accommodation to all well-meaning patriots in the country.

“We have resolved to work with all political leaders across that appreciate the need for coming together for a new Nigeria.

“We discriminate against none; our commitment is a new Nigeria that will lead our dear Continent out of its present abyss.”
