BREAKING: Ex-Kogi governor, Ibrahim Idris loses son, Mohammed

Former governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris on Wednesday lost Mohammed Idris, his second son to the cold hands of death.

Late Mohammed, a former member of the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP representing Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency died after he returned from Eid Fitr prayers marking the end of 30-day prayer and fasting.

He served from 2011 to 2015 before losing bid to return for a second of office.

He was reported to have been hale and hearty before leaving for prayer earlier in the day and had even observed the just concluded fasting and praying fully.

Late Mohammed is the second son of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris who owned Grand Ibro Annex Hotel, a popular hospitality outfit located in Zone 6 of Abuja.

The deceased was said to have been hale and hearty all through and had never complained of any illness before his tragic passage on Wednesday.

He was also the proprietor of another hotel in Jabi Lake and other businesses which are all thriving.

The former governor hails from Icheke, a community in Omala Local Government Council in Kogi East Senatorial District.
