Man O’ War gets new acting National Commander, Adedamola

Gbenga Adedamola has taken over as the acting National Commander of the age long paramilitary out, Man O’ War Nigeria.

He takes over from Col. Sanni Depsia (Rtd) whose tenure of eight years of two terms tenure had expired.

In his acceptance speech during the handing over in Abuja on Monday, Adedamola pledged the organisation’s commitment at complimenting the efforts of security agencies in addressing current security challenges in the country.

While stating his priority, Adedamola said that “under the new leadership, my aim is to prioritise the welfare of officers.

“This is as they are set to compliment the efforts of security agencies in addressing current security challenges bedeviling our dear nation.”

He said that the organisation was well positioned through its structure to provide the needed support for security agencies.

Adedamola expressed his commitment to empowering Nigerian youth and fostering positive change in society through partnership with reputable institutions.

“He said, “I am honoured to assume the leadership of Man O’ War Nigeria, even in this acting capacity and I am fully dedicated to promoting the welfare and development of our members.

“Together, we will work towards creating a vibrant and secure future for Nigerian youth,” he said.

In his handing over speech, Depsia expressed confidence in the acting national commander describing him as the most efficient person to drive the affairs of the organisation.

Also, former Minister of Youth and Sport Development, Sunday Dare appreciated the unmatched volunteering nature of Man O’ War over the years with uncompromised standard.

Dare assured that he would lead in the process of talking the stakeholders, agencies and international organisations to further appreciate the volunteer efforts of the young people for amplification for values as its obtainable in the western world.
