AFCON FINAL: Yul Edochie criticized over failed prophecy

Nollywood Actor turned Pastor, Yul Edochie has been heavy criticized over failed prophecy which he earlier said, Nigeria will win the African Cup of Nations final match with Ivory Coast.

Edochie had predicted that Nigeria will defeat Ivory Coast without the need for penalty shootout, but Nigeria was defeated 2-1, on Sunday night in, Abidjan thus making the prophecy incorrect.

In a post on his Instagram page before the match, Yul predicted that the Super Eagles would defeat the Ivory Coast without the need for a penalty shootout.

He wrote, “Today’s game will not get a penalty shootout. Nigeria will defeat the Ivory Coast comfortably.”

However, following the Super Eagles’ loss, Nigerians flooded Yul’s Instagram page to express their disappointment and label his prophecy as ‘fake.’
