The leadership of a sociopolitical organisation, Uja’Ache Cutizens’ Mandate in Kogi State congratulated Gov. Ahmed Ododo for being handed over the mantle of leadership as Governor of Kogi State, while expressing discontent over the unending desecration of governance in the state.

President of the group, Alh. Idris Isah made the remark, Tuesday in a press release made available to newsmen in Lokoja, the state capital.

He however lamented over the traumatic livelihood the enterprising citizens of Kogi State were subjected to in the last eight years of tyrannical governance by the former Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello in the state.

It remained historic and alarming, the manner the former Governor Bello bastardised the enterprising but gullible youth of Kogi State he recruited enmass into his thurgry industry, the molestation of citizens and disecration of aged long traditional institutions and monarchs in the state.

Uja’Ache leader described as insane, Bello’s uncoordinated multiple illegalities, including the dethronement and banishment of the three Monarchs and suspension of another, all whom are victims of his political machination in the state.

More disgusting he noted, is the dancing step of the newly installed administration led by His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, who has demonstrated an daunting willingness to be a stereotype, giving credence to the popular saying that, ‘ a rotten seed never produces healthy fruits for ceremonial feasts’.

The president sympathised with the new administration and Governor, Ahmed Ododo for the baggage he inherited and particularly, his sacrilegious de-recognition of the reverred stool of the IgalaTraditional Institution occupied by His Royal Majesty, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche AkpaII, the President, Kogi State Council of Chiefs, during his inauguration speech on Saturday, in Lokoja, Kogi State, describing it as, unpardonable ignominious and porous starting of a four – year journey in governance of the state.

Isah said, “Governor Ododo’s atrocious denigration of Atah Igala’s tool displayed in the glare of Mr President, the highest political leader in the country, who was represented by Vice President, His Excellency, Kashim Shetima and Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, is toxic and indeed spoke volume of the decadence on our political system”.

“The porosity of our political system exemplified in Kogi State and elsewhere in the country, are mainly the basis of our escalating national insecurity as affirmed by a philosopher, Albert Eistein when he said, ‘the world is a dangerous place, not because of the people who do evil, but because of people who don’t do anything but docile about it”.

“Igala Kingdom and its traditional institution is not a recent creation but dated back to centuries before the partition of Africa at Berlin conference and today, has Atah, HRM, Gabaidu, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa, Oguche Akpa 11, as it’s 29th King on the throne of his ancestors in the ancient city of Idah, Kogi State”.

“Igala Kingdom, the only surviving Kingdom with rich culture, besides Oyo Empire after the collapsed of historic Mali and Sudan Empires and that of Kanem Borno Empire, and other empires and kingdoms in Nigeria and beyond, as affirmed by His Imperial Majesty, Ogunlesi Eyintan, Ojaja 11, Ooni of Ife, Osun State in one of his recent historic affirmations”.
