BREAKING: Abia governor, Otti wins at Election Tribunal

Abia State governor, Dr. Alex Otti has won the State governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, the State capital.

The three-member panel of justices on Friday dismissed claims by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, who sought for nullification of the election that Otti won for him as winner.

The All Progressives governorship candidate also challenged the election, asking the Tribunal to nullify Alex Otti’s Labour Party results and declared him.

Delivering the judgement on Friday in Umuahia, the state capital, the chairman of the three-member Tribunal, Justice H.D.D. Gwada, said, PDP’s petition against the Labour Party lacked merit.

Meanwhile, judgement on the petition of the All Progressives Congress was ongoing as at the time of filing this report.
