Ebonyi governor order arrest of APC Reps candidate, Chairman over killing of three persons
The governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi has ordered the State Commissioner of Police to immediately arrest the All Progressives Congress House of Representatives candidate for Afikpo North/Afikpo South Federal Constituency, Chief Eni Uduma Chima and the State party Chairman, Chief Stanley Emegha for their roles in carnage that led to the death of three persons in Ekoli Edda.
Umahi who visited the scene of the crisis bemoaned and condemned in strong terms those behind it, while he directed the Commissioner of Police to go after all those who were involved in the crisis in order to bring them to justice.
Umahi has suspended all social gatherings in the community until further notice and warned that anyone found breaking the law should be arrested.
He tasked the Commissioner of Police to draft police personnel well enough to the area to forestall any further breakdown of law and order.
Meanwhile, the whole Ekoli Edda has been cordoned off by the combined team of the Police, Army and the Ebubeagu Security outfit.
