NSCDC begins retraining of personnel ahead of yuletide

Ahead of Christmas and new year celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), FCT Command has commenced retraining of private security guards in Abuja.

Head of Department of Private Guards Company (PGC) of NSCDC, FCT Command, DC Tijani Usman commended the Commandant General of Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni for his visionary leadership of training and retraining of private Guards in the Country as tools for intelligence gathering.

According to him, the success of the private Guards on their beat is as a result of skills imparted on them by the corps.

The Deputy Commandant urged the private Guards Company in FCT to take advantage of the training to understand the tips that will be passed to the security agencies in Nigeria for crime reduction in FCT especially in this ember period and the forth coming general election.

According to him, “your approach to security issues depend on your understanding of skills acquired from training,

He commended the Commandant FCT Command, Dr Peter Maigari to key into the vision of CG that training and retraining of private Guards is a tool for intelligence gathering which has helped NSCDC FCT to be part of history in intelligence gathering.

Also speaking, Head of training, private Guards Company NSCDC, FCT Command, ACC Oyelade Gebriel urged participants to be good ambassadors after their training.

He also thanked the Commandant FCT Dr Peter maigari for his support to PGC Department which has helped private Guards improve their skills in the intelligence gathering.

Some participants expressed their joy for the knowledge acquired that will help them perform their duty well.

Theme of the retraining is observation, skills memory and surveillance.

The retraining was organised by (FCT) Command of the NSCDC over the weekend, with operatives of private security firms in the territory in attendance.
