2023: I lost PDP Senatorial ticket as a result of gang-up against me – Dino Melaye
Former Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye blamed gang-up as responsible for failing to secure Peoples Democratic Party, 2023 Senatorial ticket.
CAPITAL POST had reported that Dino firstly scored 88 votes and his rival Tajudeen Yusuf also scored 88 on Monday making rerun a necessity.
In the rerun on Tuesday, Tajudeen Yusuf who is currently a member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal constituency, defeated Dino with 163 votes against 99 scored by Dino.
Yusuf defeated Melaye, who represented Kogi West in the eighth Assembly with 163 votes as against 99 votes polled by Melaye.
Dino has congratulated Tajudeen in a Tweet.
