Suspected gunmen’s camp has been raided and set ablaze by the soldiers on Saturday by the joint task force made up of the Nigerian Army and Navy on Saturday on the order of Anambra State governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Solido.

The raid followed terrorism of Aguata/Orumba Axis of Anambra State.

Information in some news outlets indicated that many terrorists were arrested in the raid of the camp which is located in Aguluezechukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of the state.

Items recovered by the operatives includes charms, stolen vehicles and food items.

Soldiers revealed the shrine in the camp which is being used by the criminals to prepare charms and swear oaths of secrecy, while a bulldozer used to block access to the camp was also set ablaze by the military.

Upon assumption of office as Anambra State governor, Soludo’s government established a joint task force to rid the State of criminals.

It is perceived that members of this group of unknown gunmen are behind the attack on Aguata Local Government Headquarters and Nnewi South Local Government Headquarters.
