Yahaya Bello consoles governor Tambuwal over brother’s demise
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has commiserated with his Sokoto State counterpart, Aminu Tambuwal over the death of his elder brother, Mohammed Bello.
According to the family, the octogenarian died on Tuesday evening and was buried according to Islamic rites on Wednesday morning.
Governor Bello, however, described the death of Bello, who held the Waziri Tambuwal title until his death, as painful, noting that the people of Sokoto and humanity at large will miss his wise counsel.
Being the eldest in the family, Bello succeeded their late father, Alhaji Umaru Waziri Usman, as Waziri 37 years ago.
“It is unfortunate that the people of Sokoto state have lost a rare gem. He was not only a blessing to the state but also to the country. May the Almighty Allah grant a repose of his soul.”
“I sympathise with the great people and Government of Sokoto state and particularly, my brother and friend, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, and the family of the deceased. May God grant you all the fortitude to bear the loss,” the Governor prayed.
