2023: Kogi Speaker in Nasarawa, says Bello should be rewarded with presidency

Some members of Kogi State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Hon. Mathew Kolawole on Tuesday stormed Lafia to lobby their colleagues ahead of 2023 general election.

While at the Nasarawa House of Assembly, Kolawole said they were in Lafia to push Yahaya Bello’s presidential ambition, stating that what the North entral need at this time was presidency and not party National Chairmanship.

He said the North Central has been supportive of other zones for presidential ambition, but this time, the zone deserves to be compensated, hence they were the State to market Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello presidency.

Kolawole said: ‘It may interest, Mr. Speaker and other Honorable members of NSHA to equip yourself with some frantic and transformation efforts put together by Governor Yahaya Bello within the last 6 years in office.

“This include wiping out criminals and their hideout and now Kogi State is free from the activities of criminals.

“The North-central zone deserve presidential seat come 2023 and not the seat of National Chairmanship of the ruling All Progressives Congress.”

The speaker of Kogi state acknowledged the fact his State is women friendly community, adding that recently, in the Local Governments elections, women were vice chairpersons in all the councils in the State.

Hon. Kolawole statef that Kogi has ranked as one of the most religious tolerance state, adding that since the creation of Kogi State, religion is never a hiccup to the development of the State.

He explained that the dream of reviving Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mills would be feasible if Governor Yahaya Bello emerged the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Responding, Speaker of the State Assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Balarabe described, Governor Yahaya Bello as young and vibrant and fit for the position of president of this country.

Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe described the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello as a no nonsense leader , described him as learned and focus and very intelligent leader.

“Let me seize this opportunity to call on Nigerians to always pray for their leaders at all times, saying the Governor’s policy are pro-people’s policies that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
