Though, a muslim, I believe in ‘Jesus Christ’ – Naira Marley

Nigeria music maestro and rapper, Naira Marley reveals that he is a muslim, but believes in Jesus Christ.

Naira Marley, who has been controversial all along took to his verified Twitter account opened up on his religious belief.

A British-Nigerian born who has large followership for his dexterious and skillful music, said he believes in the Christian “God”, Jesus.

The crooner “Yahoo boy”, wrote; “I’m a Muslim but I believe in Jesus.”

Naira Marley has his group called, ‘Marlians confraternity’ which is widely criticized for promoting pornography through his indecent music videos, something that does not correlate with his religion, Islam or Jesus whom he claimed to believe in.

Naira Marley is also considered a ‘bad influence’ especially on his followers “Marlians” – a group many regards as touts, immoral sect, and drug addicts – .

He has had issues with Nigeria’s anti-graft, EFCC and.was locked up sometime 2019
for requestioning after releasing the ‘fraudulent’ song “I’m a Yahoo boy” along side another secular rapper, Zlatan Ibile.

There are also allegations of him being an ex-convict in the UK.

His new revelation about his religious belief, has elicited a lot of mixed reactions particularly the Christian community who wondered if he really understands what he talking about.
