The State Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Enugu Mainstream, Comrade Adolphus Ude, has accused the factional Chairman of APC in Enugu, Mr Ugochukwu Agballa of trying to divert attention from the accusation that he collected more than N500 million from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to weaken APC by either nominating unsaleable candidates or not nominating any candidates in order to square up with the PDP in the state.

He said the allegation that former Deputy President of the Senate lobbied him with N1 billion was a smokescreen by Agballa to cover the heavy bribe allegedly collected from the Enugu State PDP.

Comrade Ude made the allegations in a statement on Sunday.

“Ugo Agballa compromised to stop the nomination of saleable candidates.

“He should know that we are aware of his mission which is to kill APC in Enugu State.

“How can you explain the fact that Enugu West Senatorial Zone with an A Class Minister in the person of Dr Geoffrey Onyema, the minister of Foreign Affairs and Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria, Dr. Osita Okechukwu, among other stakeholders do not have a senatorial candidate.

“Mr Agballa certainly has been used to block the chances of APC in Enugu State. He should enjoy the payment for his fraud in APC and stop insulting the intelligence of the general public by accusing and making false allegations against Ekweremadu” he stated.

He however encouraged Enugu APC mainstream to remain strong, assuring that the party would soon outlive Ugo Agballa and his sponsors.
