Thanksgiving Service (2nd February 2025): Witnessing, Evangelism and Service Brings Glory

By Pastor Kola Oyekale

Text: Acts 1:8 AMP
[8] But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”

It takes our faith in God to withstand challenges.
God is bringing speed to this house. When others see it, they will testify and say that it is indeed a restoration of God’s glory.
The proof that you know God is your commitment to service.
One of the impact of the Holy Spirit is that he makes you to serve God well.
There is no one who is genuinely committed to God that he doesn’t show himself mighty on his behalf.
Luke 14:23 AMP
[23] Then the master told the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled [with guests].
God is pleased when he sees his house filled. It proofs that people are panting after God. It shows that they trust in you.
God nurtures you, processes you and makes you better when you are in his house.
John 12:1-8 NKJV
[1] Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom He had raised from the dead. [2] There they made Him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with Him. [3] Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. [4] But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, [5] “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” [6] This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it. [7] But Jesus said, “Let her alone; she has kept this for the day of My burial. [8] For the poor you have with you always, but Me you do not have always.”
This year, let us give God our worship and praise like never before.
