Slain Nasarawa APC Chairman: Traditional rulers tell security agents to fish out arsonists

Nasarawa state traditional rulers have condemned in strong terms the killing of state, APC chairman, Mr. Philip Tatari Shekwo by unknown gun men.

The traditional rulers also pledged unflinching support to government in order to address security challenges especially, now that community policing has come to stay in the state.

This was contained in a press statement by the Public Relation Officer, Ministry of Local Government Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Adamu Shigafarta copy of which made available to CAPITAL POST In Lafia.

The statement quoted the State chairman of traditional council of chiefs and Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage condemning arsonist in their extra ordinary meeting of the council.

The statement also commended, Governor Abdullahi Sule’s efforts in ensuring holistic development of the state.

The state chairman of traditional council of chiefs also appealed to government at all levels to provide constitutional power to the traditional rulers.

“This will enhance their work as custodian of culture of their respective domines. The statement added.

They equally called on security operatives to intensity efforts to arrest perpetrators of killing of APC Chairman, late Philip Shekwo, just as they commended the people of the state for maintaining decorum in all their conducts.
