BREAKING: Dare devil armed robbers operating on Lokoja – Ajaokuta road

Reports reaching CAPITAL POST indicated that some Dare devil armed robbers are currently operating on Lokoja to Ajaokuta road.

Our correspondent gathered on Friday that motorists coming from Kogi East and those from Lokoja to Kogi East have been caught up in the operation and are currently being robbed.

News of robbery has gotten to motorists who would have ran into them from Lokoja axis and have turned back to Ganaja.

An eye witness who spoke with our correspondent confirmed the ongoing robbery, and said, operation has been on for the past 30 minutes without intervention by security agents.

“We have made a distress call to the Kogi State Police Command through numbers known to us, but we haven’t seen any sign of Police presence yet.

“The Federal Road Safety Corps operatives who we earlier met before the news broke out have ran away and I hope they will confirm this to the Police.”

Meanwhile, Kogi State Police Spokesman, SP William Ovye Aya could not be reached immediately before filing this report.
