The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians, particularly Christians, as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ — a cornerstone of the Christian faith symbolizing victory over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair.
In a goodwill message released on Easter Sunday and signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, the party reflected on the spiritual significance of the season and called on citizens to imbibe its enduring lessons.
“As we celebrate, we enjoin Nigerians to embrace hope, patience, sacrifice, and resilience, some of the priceless values and virtues immanent in Jesus’ death and resurrection,” the statement read.
The APC expressed solidarity with President Bola Tinubu, urging collective support for his administration’s efforts to address the country’s pressing challenges.
In their words, “We join Christians in prayer that the transformative blessings of Easter abide with all Nigerians, strengthen President Bola Tinubu in his determination to tackle and overcome outstanding socio-economic challenges confronting our nation.”
The party also called for compassion and unity across the country, reminding Nigerians of the need to support one another and remain committed to national peace and progress.

Easter Service (20th April, 2025): The significance of the resurrection of Jesus

By Pastor Kola Oyekale
When Jesus died and resurrected, a new life came up.
Jesus was crucified for a purpose.
He was crucified to end death.
He was crucified to terminate your dark world so you can begin a new life.
Christ is the center point of Easter.
The resurrection of Jesus is the centrality of our faith.
1 Corinthians 15:14-19 NLT
[14] And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. [15] And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. [16] And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. [17] And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. [18] In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! [19] And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.
The devil wants us to believe that he is in charge. He only uses the ignorance of people to put them in bondage.
The resurrection of Jesus signifies the divinity and triumph of Jesus over death and the offering of hope to humanity.
God is a playwright. He enjoys the script he has written.
We are all part of God’s script and we are playing our roles in it while God watches and enjoys his script. The world is God’s stage. Our lives are written and being played out by us. Be certain however that your life will end well.
The significance of the resurrection of Jesus:
1. It proves Jesus identity as the son of God. Jesus was arrested because he called himself the son of God. God’s word was fulfilled over Jesus. God’s word is efficacious, nothing can stop it. Jesus is not just a teacher, he is the messiah, the son of God who has conquered death.
John 19:7 NLT
[7] The Jewish leaders replied, “By our law he ought to die because he called himself the Son of God.”
2. It was God’s proof that what Jesus claimed to be is true. He is indeed the son of God.
Romans 1:4 NLT
[4] and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus came to raise sons so that those sons will truly be sons of God.
Acts of the Apostles 2:24 NLT
[24] But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.
Death and failure had no capacity to hold Jesus bound. There is a nature of God’s life in you, you cannot be held captive by death or failure.
John 1:12, 14 NLT
[12] But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
[14] So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
3. Jesus death and resurrection defeated death. By rising from death, he offered us hope for eternal life.
Romans 3:23 NLT
[23] For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Sin made it difficult for us to walk in Jesus success and victory on the cross.
Death is not a threat to your life.

Easter Retreat (Plenary 2) Friday, 29th March, 2024: Topic: Faith

Pastor Nkechi Ene
Review of WOFBEC 2024 (Faith that Moves Mountains: Doing the Impossible)
Topic: Living in the Impossible Zone
Text: John 6vs1-13
Impossible is something that is not able to occur or exist or done.
Three foundational things to establish:
1. God doesn’t deal with the word “impossible”.
Mark 10vs27
2. In Jesus Christ, God has opened up a portal for some people not to deal with the word “impossible”.
Mark 9vs23
3. The tool to move from the impossible to possible is faith.
Every situation you have in your life is either in the Impossible Zone or Possible Zone.
The Impossible Zone is open to both the believer and unbeliever.
The Possible Zone is the right and privilege of the believer.
Everyone has got some mountain (polus oculus) of some sort coming towards the them.
What mountain (polus oculus) is staring at you? What mountain are you responsible to solve?
When these mountains come to you, they don’t choose a convenient time.
Even when you are emotional exhausted, mountains will come for you.
Mountains don’t respect your time zone.
You must disregard your feelings many times to face mountains.
The only thing you are legitimately allowed to tell God about your life that is not fair is his favour.
If you will be a faith warrior or champion, put your emotions where it should be.
Mountains don’t care how you feel.
John 6:5 NLT
[5] Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”
God doesn’t ask questions because he needs help. God asks questions to test you.
Jesus needed to know what Philip was seeing and understood of the situation.
What you see in a mountain is where you find your answers.
Teachers ask questions to find out what their students know.
Every mountain that comes against has one thing it is demanding from you which is Faith!
If you are a child of God and any task, any mountain comes towards you, it makes a faith demand on you, therefore you cannot afford the luxury of being devoid or bankrupt of faith or you will never dissolve mountains.
Faith is the currency you need.
2. Realize that Jesus already has the answer but needs you to trigger it.
3. Remember that faith is a spiritual force so natural reasoning will not pull any triggers.
Logical trigger: If you pull a logical trigger, you will never dissolve any impossibility.
Logical triggers don’t dissolve mountains.
You can’t dance with the Holy Spirit logically, sometimes you dance offbeat but it’s his dance.
Matthew 14:15 NLT
[15] That evening the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”
Philip was dodging his faith responsibility by acting like he cared.
It’s your responsibility not God’s to dissolve the polus oculus (mountain).
Faith is believing what God has done, not what God will do.
Luke 9:13-14 NLT
[13] But Jesus said, “You feed them.” “But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Or are you expecting us to go and buy enough food for this whole crowd?” [14] For there were about 5,000 men there. Jesus replied, “Tell them to sit down in groups of about fifty each.”
They got defensive, they missed their answer right in front of them.
A faith demand is not meant to accuse you.
If you get defensive with God, faith has left you and you have stopped relying on grace.
John 6:8-9 NLT
[8] Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up. [9] “There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”
The disciples didn’t know it was a faith demand on them. They had the answer in front of them but went back to logical reasoning.
Release the answer God has for you by pulling the trigger in the spiritual realm.
The trigger you must understand is the faithfulness
