2027: Baba-Ahmed, Galadima, expired politicians unfit to speak for north — Musa Kwankwaso

The Executive Director of Finance at the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, HJRBDA Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso has described Engr Buba Galadima and Dr Baba Hakeem-Ahmed as expired politicians who are unfit to speak for the Northern part of the country.
He said the duo lacks moral standing to speak on directìon of the North in 2027 presidential election, declaring that neither Galadima nor Baba-Ahmed have popular mandate of the Northerners to speak.
In a statement he issued on Tuesday in Kano, Dr. Kwankwaso declared that the two expired politicians were part of the challenges the country is facing together, having failed to do their best during their years in service.
Dr Kwankwaso was reacting to recent comments by Baba-Ahmed, a former aide to Vice President Kashim Shettima, who warned that any manipulation of the 2027 elections would be met with resistance. Kwankwaso described such warnings as alarmist and misleading.
He described them as “cash carrying and food is ready” politicians which the Northerners were aware, hence, the North cannot be blindfolded by their brute talks.
According to him, Baba-Ahmed was among those who cheated the North by their long services in governments but have nothing to show as their contributions to the region they are today called defending.
He maintained that Buba Galadima, “is the worst northern politician who didn’t know the location of his ballot box, but rather continue to be a parasite who always leaned on personalities to fail them”.
He queried “All his years with Buhari what did he contribute to him, instead he was so parasitic to the extent that Buhari only won his elections when the likes of Galadima departed him adding that he did the same to Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and now he is with Kwankwaso, therefore Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso should be wary of him if he wants to make it in life”.
According to him, the present government were not disturbed by their utterance because “in less than two years of this administration, President Tinubu has brought serious development to the North, look at the completion efforts of Kano to Abuja road, look at Badagary to Kebbi Road network a job that has since gone far”.
He said even on agriculture, President Tinubu has ensured that farmers are getting enough implements while ensuring Food Security, “just recently he approved over N60 Billion for the expansion of some Dams in Kano for irrigation farming”.
“There is no gainsaying that food and other essential commodities prices are crippling down and Nigerians are having the affordability to buy, but did you hear Buba Galadima or Hakeem Baba-Ahmed commenting on these, no they are just blind critics who have nothing to offer”.
“And in the North CNG Stations are almost all over the region with the Government putting it in Borno, Kaduna, Kwara and Kano would also soon have their own”.
Therefore, Northerners would never listen to Baba-Ahmed and Buba Galadima or former Attorney General, Abubakar Malami because they knows who they are and what they want, while the reality remains that they have contributed nothing to the region, he noted.
