Peace On Earth – The future is bright

Spread the love

By Pastor Chris Ofili

Peace is that element that people seek among themselves. It is the absence of strife, turmoil, hatred and bitterness between people.

Peace after the fall of Man in the person of Adam, became a rear situation in human existence. Since the fall man, man has not really experienced the joy of being alive. adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Everyone seeks for peace, nations don’t have it, families don’t either, even within oneself, few have it, at some realms of relationship. Peace is referred to as the friendly relationship between individuals, undisturbed by disputes, freedom from worries, troubles, fear, and strife, it is calmness unperturbed by its surroundings (PLI. paraphrased).

What EXACTLY Happened to Man after the Fall?

Years ago I advertised one of our books on peace, meant for publication “RELEASE THE GLORY” and did run it on our Go-Newsletter, in explaining the Glory. It is a fact that, in the beginning man was created “very good” in God’s image and likeness, but the fall in Adam, moved Man into all forms of destructive behaviours that have led to the death of mutuality, among other things, this prompted me to ask in the book: “what EXACTLY happened to man at the fall? If we do not ask this question our efforts to repair man and enjoy a world without wars, conflicts and hostilities will be inadequate. And I went further to answer the above question: The diagnostic report on man after the fall, revealed that man came short of the GLORY of God, and I ended up with this assertion: “Therefore any attempt to repair the fallen man without the fabrics of the glory of God, will be to further deform man, and any attempt to restore peace on earth without the glory underpinning man will end in futility, ultimately.”

Like booby trap society is becoming difficult to thrive in and almost unlivable.

With power tussle raging among nations, most of these countries possess weapons capable of destroying humanity in a twinckle of an eye.

Before we turn to God the creator of man, for solution, it will be unfair to overlook the tremendous efforts government and humanitarian actors have been making to quell some of these wicked activities, yet these seemingly success in maintaining peace at various levels have not effectively solved these good problems as these challenges resurface again and again after the use of force or some form of mediation.
No doubt there are multitude of treaties, conventions and laws yet no astute solution. They have come to agree with the falsehood that people can not live without conflicts, so the best law has done is to humanise warfare, through rules of engagement.

Turning to science on the issue of peace will end up in turning humans to robots.

So it is clear that human efforts are insufficient to curb these myriad of hostilities, that hampers sustainable development and progress in our realms.

THE PROPHET WHO INTERROGATED GOD

The fall triggered the problems of duplicity, oppression, exclusion, injustice, inequality in the heart of man against his brother man. When Habakkuk was called by God to go preach, he did not go like other men rather he interrogated God and demanded to know: “Why do man destroys his brother man?”

Prophet Habakkuk in seeing evil that abound wondered if God created men as fish or creeping things, he understands the cruelty that goes on in the fish world. It is the survival of the fittest. They swallow each other to survive.

The Lord answered with a telescopic vision of a World FILLED with the knowledge of the GLORY. That’s the solution! The knowledge of the glory is the only topic in the entire Bible that God intended to dominate all other teachings. The Glory is God’s excellent mechanism for peace on earth when presented in its righ sequence.

The Bible said that, in the last days, the Church will be the most important place on the earth and All Nations will gravitate into it because it holds the solution to age long challenge of peace that is still plequing humanity. With the light of the glory, it’s within the power and destiny of the Church to restore man and our world as it was meant to be and help all enjoy the peace Christ brought at domestic and international level.

ISAIAH WALL

Isaiah 2:2-5, is one of the most incredible verses in the Bible, where it not that this prophecy is from the very word of God, I would have considered it an hyperbole. It’s hard to believe that life on earth could take such a marvelous turn of infinite calm – like “peace that passeth All understanding” it’s so profound that it is used as ISAIAH WALL right in front of United Nations building.

I believe that one of the questions at the back of the mind of those who louds these verse on the is “what in the world or in the scriptures will the church ever preach or teach that that would trigger such staggering change where superpowers and people will stop learning war and not only go to the extent of disarmament but proceed further to reconstruct war equipments to agricultural equipments for our collective benefit. The Church is that powerful!

World without war and conflict is possible, but it is possible ONLY when humans are underpin by the Glory.

In describing that beautiful and powerful bird, the peacock. The Bible said that the peacock is an awesome bird yet unwise because she lacks the wisdom to care for her young ones, she leaves her eggs in the dust. She’s negligent with her children by leaving them in the dust, unconcern that wild beasts could crush them, she does not care about what gives true happiness, thus, her labour is in vain.

Let’s not forget that building a safe world is for us and our children.
