Ex-NUPENG Secretary General, Kokori dies at 80

Former Secretary General of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas workers, NUPENG, Frank Kokori is dead.

He died at the age of 80, same day of his birthday.

The elderstatesman, a veteran activist has been sick and out of.media space for quite sometime.

A source from his immediate family confirmed that he died at exactly 1:30 am on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

Kokori was known to be very courageous in the leadership of NUPENG in his days and had held government of the day to ransom for not caring for members of his association.

He also actively participated in the struggle for the restoration of June 12 given to the late Moshood Abiola.
