Nigerian Singer, Lil Frosh physically abused me, became more toxic when we reconciled after previous assaults –Ex-girlfriend, Cute Geminme

The couple were earlier in the news when photographs of Cute Geminme with a bruised face leaked on social media. She said she was assaulted by Lil Frosh, her boyfriend at the time.

Cute Geminme, a former girlfriend of Nigerian singer Sanni Goriola Wasiu, aka Lil Frosh has narrated that she experienced another series of abuses from the singer a few months after they reconciled.

The couple were earlier in the news when photographs of Cute Geminme with a bruised face leaked on social media. She said she was assaulted by Lil Frosh, her boyfriend at the time.

Geminme made the fresh revelations while reacting to Lil Frosh’s recent video where he claimed that he had never abused Geminme but only slapped her once.

In a video on his Instagram page, the former DMW signee denied Cute Geminme’s allegations of him beating her up. The up-and-coming singer said that he slapped his ex-girlfriend because she disrespected his mother, a move he claimed to have apologised for immediately.

Lil Frosh said that the matter was settled and that Geminme at the time had a boil, which he claimed to have nursed for her before she left his house.

He said she later shared photos of her swollen face and claimed that he abused her.

Reacting to her former lover’s claim, Geminme in a video she made on Instagram narrated that the singer repeated the abuse and toxicity after they reconciled in 2022.

She added that there was no time she abused his mother as he had alleged.

She said, “I have disappointed everyone and I am deeply sorry. Firstly, I would like to state that Lil Frosh is lying. Not only did he abuse me physically, he abused me verbally and emotionally. And there’s proof of that all over the Internet.

“Everyone keeps saying it’s an allergic reaction, but that is not an allergic reaction. In 2021, while the case was still ongoing in court, Lil Frosh first reached out to me on a call with the statement ‘I need you back in my life, you are the only one that can help me get my career back because I’ve lost everything.’ But I refused.

“So fast forward to October 2022, he reached out to me again on a call, crying and begging for me to take him back. But this time the apology felt sincere. Out of pity, I agree to get back into a relationship with my toxic ex with the hope that he has changed and has become a better person and is ready to make things work.

“A few months into the relationship, his old attitude started coming back again. He started being aggressive, he started telling me what to do, what to wear, who to be friends with, where to go. And this time around it became even worse because he started taking my friends’ contacts out of my phone, calling them and threatening them.

“I have the voice recording of this and I’m going to play for you guys. This happened 18th of April 2023.”

“Luckily for me, my friend recorded the chat to send to me as he wasn’t aware I had a boyfriend because I never told anyone. He threatened my other friends and that was when I started making up my mind to end things with him but he started threatening me also that he’d kill himself and blame me for it.

“At this point, I was really scared cause I didn’t want him to do what he said so I was scared for myself and worried for him hence the chats I sent on his Instagram because I couldn’t reach him on other apps; we barely chatted on Instagram as we didn’t want anyone to find out about us and when we do we clear chats immediately.”

“Little did I know he was taking screenshots to frame me, most places we chatted on were WhatsApp and Snapchat most of the time but we’re no longer friends on Snapchat and that’s why I couldn’t get our Snapchat messages? I even cleared most of our WhatsApp chats because I didn’t think I’d ever be needing them as evidence but luckily for me, I didn’t delete all,” she added.

Governor Bago had at the security meeting in Minna on Tuesday directed security agents to arrest anyone with dreadlocks in Niger.

He believed that people with dreadlocks are irresponsible and constitutes security risk, stating that the measure is part of his government’s efforts to curb the resurgence of insecurity in Minna, the state capital.

He wrote: “Mohammed Umar na Dada be your problem? I dey come to Minna but now that you asked your security agents to cut off dreadlocks, so hold your state but make you cut your beer beer.”
