Nigerian Immigration Service promotes 413 hardworking officers
A total of Four hundred and 413 men and Officers of the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) have been elevated to their next rank.
Among the newly promoted officers, comprised a total of one hundred and thirty two senior (132) officers and a total of two hundred eighty one Junior ranks were elevated and decorated with their new ranks.
Their promotion was sequel to the release of the 2024 promotional examination results conducted by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board (CDCFIS) headquarters for senior and junior officers respectively.
Decorating the newly promoted officers at the Command headquarters in Minna Wednesday, the Assistant Comptroller General (ACG), in-charge of Zone D Ngozi Odikpo charged the newly promoted officers to see their new rank as additional responsibilities that will motivate them to perform their duty diligently.
She posited that with their new ranks is expected of them to leave above board in the discharge of their to complement the effort of the comptroller-General of the service CG Kemi Nanna Nandap noting that ” to whom much is given more is expected”.
She applauded the commitment of the Minister of Interiors Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the Comptroller General CG Kemi Nanna Nandap for facilitating the promotion.
The Niger State Comptroller of the command Alhaji Musa Shehu Ya’u
appreciated the president Ahmed Bola Tinubu Tinubu for his efforts and commitment to uplift the standard of the Service assuring that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) under the leadership of the CG Kemi Nanna Nandap will continue to be committed to the service at all times.
While congratulating, the newly promoted officers of the command, the state Comptroller charged them to exhibit a high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duty “so as to complement their new responsibility.
The occasion was attended by other security chiefs in the state,which include the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Corp NSCDC Niger State, Adamu Abdullahi Kambara, and representative of the state Command of the Nigeria Correctional Service, among other dignitaries.
The command head of Media and Public Relation unit Mallam Mukhtar Abubakar was among those promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI).
