ZIPA Secretary, Hajia Yaro narrowly escape bandits attacks, sustained gunshot injuries

The Executive Secretary of Zamfara State Investment Promotion Agency, ZIPA, Hajia Mariam Yaro, has escaped bandits attack by the whiskers on Sunday.
She was attacked few kilometres from Gusau, the State capital while she was travelling to Abuja on official assignment.
She was said to have sustained gunshot injuries during the assault. Currently, she is undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Gusau.
Appointed in October 2023 by Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, Hajia Yaro had taken on the role of leading ZIPA, aiming to bolster investment initiatives in the state.
Prior to her appointment, she held the position of Head of the Minimum Pension Guarantee Unit at the National Pension Commission in Abuja.
Authorities are investigating the attack as the state remains on edge, awaiting further updates on the condition of Hajjia Mariam Yaro.
