The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, has congratulated the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, as he clocks 61 on Saturday.
Speaker Abbas, in his congratulatory message, described Senator Akpabio as a dependable and an uncommon ally at the 10th National Assembly.
Speaker Abbas expressed delight in the fact that Distinguished Senator Akpabio shares the same vision of prosperity for Nigeria and its citizens.
The Speaker noted that the Senate President has achieved so much politically within a short time, having been governor of Akwa Ibom State for two terms, member of the Senate, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, and now the President of the Senate.
He said Senator Akpabio remains a democrat and a patriot, who should be celebrated by all well-meaning Nigerians on the occasion of his 61st birthday.
Speaker Abbas also noted that Senate Akpabio has contributed immensely to the growth of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Speaker prayed God to grant Senate President Akpabio a long life, good health, and more wisdom to successfully manage the affairs of the 10th National Assembly.
