Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a Kaduna-based Islamic Scholar has asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remove the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike from office.
The controversial cleric who hobnob with bandits urged the President to remove the FCT Minister for allowing Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria to visit him in office.
Speaking during a sermon, Gumi said if Tinubu does not fire Wike, they will not be on the same page, describing Wike as “devilish.”
He said: “The Minister of the FCT is a devilish man. Wheñ he was appointed, I told you he was devilish, and some people were grumbling.
“He went and brought the Israeli Ambassador. Someone sent 8t to me, but I am yet to confirm it and see.
“But what is confirmed is he (Wike) said he will collaborate with the Israelis to improve Abuja’s security. Therefore Abuja will now be like Tell Aviv where there see anyone with a beard like us, they will say it’s is Bin Laden and kill him.
“If Israelis enter this country, there will be a clandenstine operation against any outspoken Islamic Cleric; we have seen the signs in the past. Why was Sheikh Jaafar killed? May his soul rest in peace. Why did they kill Sheikh Albany?”
Gumi tongue-lashed at those who worked to ensure that the Muslim-Muslim ticket was successful, describing them as hypocrites.
“You an see how they are killing Clerics. We have known this for a long time.
Continuing, he said: “Muslims are the heads of the Ministry of Defence. But those holding the guns and shooting, are we the one? We are not the ones; they are just playing us.
According to him, he moves around with Police for protection of his life, even during the former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration despite not being in their good books.
