Pro-Fubara stages protest in Rivers, demand gov’s reinstatement

Supporters of the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara have staged a peaceful protest in Portharcourt, demanding for the reinstatement of the Governor.
Portharcourt city came to a standstill with traffic gridlock for those going to work and their places of business due to gridlock on Tuesday morning.
Protesters who are clad in black and carrying placards with inscriptions such as, “Together we stand for Governor Sim Fubara”, “We want back our Governor, we all voted for”.
“Governor Fubara is the pride of Rivers People”, the protesters kicked off the march from Aggrey road, Old Port Harcourt Township.
Fubara was suspended from office as governor by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and further dismantled other democratic structures and announced a retired Naval officer, Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas as Sole Administrator on March 18.
He is to administer Rivers State for six months.
