NCCE embraces digital transformation, trains HMR staff on the use of Digitization Files and Records App

As part of efforts to adopt technological advancement and improve operational efficiency, the National Commission for College of Education (NCCE), has trained staff of its Human Resource Management (HRM) Department on the use of Digitization Files and Records App.
The Executive Secretary of NCCE, Professor Paulinus Chijioke Okwelle emphasised that the one -day training conducted on December 11th, 2023 at the NCCE, ICT Center reflects the organization’s dedication to remaining at the forefront of innovation in the education sector.
In his address, Professor Okwelle said the training program has been carefully designed to equip NCCE staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the digital transformation to human resource management.
Represented by the Director, Human Resource Management, NCCE, Mallam Dauda Yabani, the NCCE boss stated that “It is an investment in our collective ability to adapt to the changing demands of the dynamic ICT landscape”.
According to him, the digitization of files and records in Human Resource Department is a strategic move to streamline administrative procedures, reduce paperwork and improve the overall effectiveness of service.
“In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the integration of technology into our daily processes is not merely a choice but a necessity”, he said.
The Executive Secretary, however, expressed optimism that the training will improve the efficiency of the daily functions of the Human Resource Department.
He urges staff to seize the opportunity to improve their skills and contribute to the ongoing success of NCCE.
On his part, the Director, ICT, NCCE, Mr. Pius O. Ekireghwo, underscored the need for participants to actively participate, share experiences, and pose relevant questions to facilitators.
He said the training is an opportunity for staff to collectively enhance their skills, broaden understanding, and explore the full potential of the digitization of files and records app.
“The digitization of files and records does not only reduce the burden of paperwork but also provides us with the tools to achieve greater accuracy, accessibility, and speed in our daily operations”.
He acknowledged the significance influence technology can wield in streamlining administrative processes.
Mr. Pius further expressed gratitude to the Executive Secretary for approving the project and for fostering a culture of technological proficiency in NCCE.
