Mothers’ Day: Reps Press Corps advocates inclusivity, care for families

The House of Representatives Press Corps has advocated for inclusivity and family care as Nigerians and the rest of the world celebrates Mothers’ Day on Sunday.
The Press Corps, an arm of Media of the lower legislative Chamber, stated that mothers deserves to be celebrated and honoured because of the task of caregivers, nation builders, and agents of change which they are noted for.
Chairperson of the Press Corps, Grace Ike emphasizes the invaluable contributions of mothers to families and nation.
The gender activist said, mothers all over the world embark on multiplayer activities that requires balancing amid unforseen challenges, yet they strives to create inclusive environments and fostering harmony within their families.
She said: “The resilience and strength of mothers, both within the confines of their homes and in the broader context of nation-building, should be acknowledged and celebrated.”
She emphasise the importance of cultivating loving relationships with husbands and nurturing environments for children to thrive, saying that, mothers should play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our society.
“It is imperative that we honor their sacrifices and contributions, not only on Mothers’ Day but every day. Let us cherish and support the mothers in our lives, recognizing their resilience and unwavering love. Mothers are the cornerstone of our families and the bedrock of our nation,” adds Chairperson Grace Ike.
The House of Representatives Press Corps extends its warmest wishes to all mothers on this special day, calling on us all to celebrate the enduring spirit of motherhood and work towards building a more inclusive and compassionate world for future generations.
