Kogi Guber: Tribunal grants SDP’s request to produce more witnesses against APC, INEC

The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has granted the request for the Social Democratic Party, SDP to produce more witnesses.

The approval will enable the governorship candidate, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka to amend the list of witnesses to be called during the hearing of the petition.

Having sustained the motion of SDP, the Tribunal struck out motion of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and that of Ododo Ahmed Usman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ododo and INEC were given 10 days to call their witnesses, while Muritala Yakubu Ajaka was offered 30 days to call for his witnesses.

The tribunal sitting which is taking place at premises of the National Judiciary Council adjourned to 26th Febuary 2024 for further hearing.
