President of the Ninth Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, congratulates the incumbent Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, on his re-election for another term of four years.
He also congratulates the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi state, Ahmed Usman-Ododo, over the party’s victory in the governorship election held over the weekend.
Lawan, in a statement by Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, Media Adviser to Senator Ahmad, attributes the victory of the duo to the dedication, commitment and passion of both candidates and their supporters in the APC.
He describes Uzodinma and Usman-Ododo’s victory as a testament to the strength of the nation’s democracy and the power of the people to make their voices heard.
Lawan in the statement said, “I am thrilled to learn of the victory of Governor Hope Uzodinma and Ahmed Usman-Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Imo and Kogi Governorship elections. The people of Imo and Kogi have spoken and have entrusted the leadership of their states to the APC, and we are honored to have their support.
“I congratulate both candidates and commend the hard work and dedication of their teams, and the party members who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of APC. Their commitment and passion have been instrumental in our victory, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to them.
“I also appreciate the voters who came out in large numbers to participate in the electoral process. Your active participation is a testament to the strength of our democracy and the power of the people to make their voices heard.
“As we celebrate this victory, let us reaffirm our commitment to good governance, transparency, and inclusive development in Imo and Kogi states, respectively. Our party will work tirelessly to fulfill our promises to the people and to move our states forward on the path of progress and prosperity.
“The APC is determined to deliver on its mandate and to build a better future for all residents of Imo and Kogi. Once again, I thank the people of Imo and Kogi for their trust and confidence in the APC.”
