Heavy Downpour: Echocho assures Dekina town of urgent intervention

Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) representing Kogi East Senatorial District has extended his heartfelt commiserations to the victims of the heavy downpour in Dekina Local Government Area.

The rainstorm which lasted for several hours yesterday, destroyed no fewer than 20 houses, leaving many residents homeless.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday through his Special Adviser on Media, Mikail Ibrahim, Echocho expressed deep concern and sympathy for those affected by the disaster.

“I received the sad news of the rainstorm in parts of Dekina Local Government Area,” the lawmaker said. “This is quite distressing, and my thoughts are with everyone affected.”

Sen Isah Jibrin while sympathising with the victims, promised to initiate a process that would lend a helping hand for them to repair their damaged buildings in record time.
