BREAKING: Fire guts Canadian High Commission in Abuja

Canadian High Commission on Monday gutted by fire.
Billows of smoke could be seen from a section of the building which the cause of the fire outbreak could not be confirmed by our correspondent at the time of filing this report.
The fire incident has been confirmed by several videos posted on social media of some staff of the Commission showing the moment they fled the building on Monday.
The Federal Fire Service was yet to issue a statement.
The High Commission is located on Palm close, Diplomatic drive, Central Business District of the Federal Capital and houses the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Jamie Christoff and other diplomatic staff.
Staff of the Commission who are mostly Nigerians normally resume work at 8.00am from Monday to Friday.
