NCPC Executive Secretary flag off 2021 screening for intending pilgrims to Holy land in May

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam, has flagged off the 2021 screening for intending Pilgrims to Jordan in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Rev. Pam while performing the 2021 flagging off at the Plateau State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board Jos on Monday said the Commission was ready to explore new Holy Sites around the world

He disclosed that Pilgrims from the state will be airlifting on 29th May, 2021 at the Jos Airport located in Heipang, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the State.

He said the Commission has concluded arrangement for holy pilgrimage to Jordan instead of Jerusalem for its forthcoming May/June Pilgrimage,

“I am here flagging off the screening exercise for intending pilgrims to Jordan because Israel has refused to open its border for pilgrimage, but we are still talking with them.

By declaring the screening exercise open, Plateau State has remained the best state ever in sending the highest number of pilgrims every year since the administration of Chief Solomon Lar to date”.

He commended the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Simon Lalong for having the heart for the kingdom,” and advised the intending pilgrims to ensure that they “pray for the governor, Mr. President and for the well-being of Nigeria while in the Holy Land.

“It is unfortunate that so many Christians have taken it like a business trip and a means to abscond. The Commission frowns upon abscondment; hence we are collaborating with relevant security agencies to make sure that there would be zero abscondment, this year.”

He further advised the intending pilgrims to ensure that they were physically “sound, fit and strong to embark on the spiritual journey,” advising them to ensure that they disclosed accurate vital information on their health status “in their own interest.”
