Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule re-elected

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has been re-elected for a second term of Office.

This followed the governoship and State House of Assemblies elections held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Declaring him winner on Monday, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Returning Officer,
Professor Tanko Ishaya, said, Sule of the All Progressives Congress, APC polled 347,209 votes, beating his closest competitor, David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 283,016 votes.

However, the PDP expressed dissatisfaction with the results, stating that it would seek redress in court, while the APC stated that it would also challenge the PDP-won Local Government Areas.
