Mob foiled early morning robbery, stripped suspect naked at Idah
Robbery attack by suspected armed men has been foiled in the early hours of Wednesday at Idah in Kogi East Senatorial district by the angry mob.
The robbers who were two in number attempted to snatch a motorbike from a motorcyclist at gun point, but luck ran out of one without a gun who was overpowered by the mob and beaten to stupor.
The other one with gun keep firing into the air to scare mob, until he fled into the bush.
The escape of the gun wielding robber infuriated the mob who eventually unleashed anger on the captured one and striped him naked amid pleas not to be killed.
He was later handed over to the Divisional Police Station at Idah.
