FRSC passes out 808 new recruits

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) at the weekend passed out 808 new Road Marshal Assistants following a successful completion of a six months intensive training at the FRSC Training School, Jos.

Dr Boboye Oyeyemi in an address, charged the young officers to imbibe the training received at the academy.

Oyeyemi, represented by Deputy Corps Marshal, Hyginus Fuomsuk, urged them to justify the confidence reposed on them and discharge their duties responsibly and professionally.

The Commandant of the School, Corps Commander Danasabe Shehu, said the newly recruited officials were tactically prepared to join the workforce.

Shehu said they have been equipped to exert their energy, skills, tactics and commitment in reducing road traffic crashes on Nigerian roads.

Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau in a speech enjoined the road marshals and management of the corps to do their best to checkmate the activities of bad elements in the service who extort or harass motorists.

Lalong, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Danladi Atu, said government would not tolerate any conduct that intimidates citizens or tramples on their rights.

He urged the new officials to be operationally ready at all times and strive to execute their mission successfully as well as overcome adversity with courage
