EFCC should go after Buhari’s outgoing Ministers who stole from gov’t coffers – APC Chieftain

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Garus Gololo has called for the probe of outgoing ministers to give account of their stewardship to the nation during their tenure in office.

Gololo made the call at an interactive session with newsmen in Abuja.

He stressed that the EFCC should stop moving from hotels to hotels arresting and parading yahoo boys but rather go after government officials who have stolen from the nation’s Coffers. com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js">


“There must be proper investigation of outgoing ministers and government officials and anyone wanting should be arrested if properly the EFCC and ICPC are doing their job.

He noted that monies were been released to ministers for projects but yet these projects are not executed.

Dr. Gololo explained that the new trend is that EFCC only focused on state governors to persecute while the ministers who embezzled public funds are not investigated.

“Every day governors are placed on a watch list and the ministers work freely. Why haven’t EFCC place the ministers too on watch list, even the minister of Justice is supposed to be on watch list”

The retired general therefore urged the incoming administration not appoint anyone that has worked with President Muhammadu Buhari describing them as fertile eggs that can’t add to meaningful development.

I am advising this government that even special assistants that served President Muhammadu Buhari shouldn’t join this government again because they’re like fertile eggs, which can’t hatch any chicken.

I see some ministers after serving one government will want to be Ambassadors, is it an heritage? When one finished serving a government he or she should step aside and allow another person take over”

He called on the President elect to appoint freshers in his cabinet who are sound and have the interest of the nation at heart.

Gololo Who frowned at the request for approval for more loan called on the senate not to give approval for such loan stressing that the Present administration has just four days to vacate office and should not leave the country indebted.
