The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operatives on Thursday stormed the head office of Dangote Group in Lagos as they intensify probe of Foreign Exchange transactions during the tenure of the former Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.

Reports said, the operatives are probing Dangote Group and 51 other companies over forex allocation believed to be used as conduit pipes.

The operation was confirmed by staff of Dangote Group who said the EFCC was deepening probe of investigation of forex allocation to Dangote throughout the tenure of Godwin Emefiele.

The operatives raid some offices, ask questions, and was not confirmed if any staff was arrested, as the Spokesman for the Commission, Dele Oyewole could not be reached at the time of filing report.

Operatives also requested for related documents, according to a staff who didn’t want his name mentioned.
