Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has told his fans and friends to celebrate him while he is alive.

In a cryptic post, the actor shared a new photo on Instagram, asking people to give him his credits while he’s still here.
Hanks Anuku wrote: “Celebrate me and appreciate me now that I’m alive.”

Hanks Anuku has had a difficult time in the last few years.

In November 2023, while stating that he had been unemployed for a long time, the film actor appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance.

Shave your beard before you ban dreadlocks — Daddy Showkey replies Niger Governor Bago

Irked by Niger State Governor’s directive to arrest anyone with dreadlocks in the State, Ace Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey has replied the governor, Umar Bago to shave his beard before he could ask security operatives to arrest anyone with dreadlocks.

Governor Bago had at the security meeting in Minna on Tuesday directed security agents to arrest anyone with dreadlocks in Niger.

He believed that people with dreadlocks are irresponsible and constitutes security risk, stating that the measure is part of his government’s efforts to curb the resurgence of insecurity in Minna, the state capital.

However, reacting to the declaration in an Instagram post on Thursday, Daddy Showkey, who is known for his signature dreadlocks, questioned whether dreadlocks were the cause of insecurity.

While revealing plans to cancel his scheduled trip to Niger State following the directive, Showkey challenged the governor to cut off his own beard first before cutting people’s hair.

He wrote: “Mohammed Umar na Dada be your problem? I dey come to Minna but now that you asked your security agents to cut off dreadlocks, so hold your state but make you cut your beer beer.”

The directive has attracted widespread backlash specifically from youngster artists who believed wearing dreadlock hairs is part of their brand.

Actress Buhle Samuels facing fraud charges over Porsche SUV she once showcased as gift

Actress and former Muvhango star Buhle Samuels is reportedly facing fraud and forgery charges related to a luxury Porsche SUV she once showcased on social media as a birthday gift to herself.

Samuels, known for her opulent lifestyle, recently appeared in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court, where she stands accused of falsifying company documents and forging signatures to acquire the high-end vehicle. The Porsche in question was posted in an Instagram post in August 2024, where the actress captioned the post “Early birthday present. From Me to Me,” implying it was a personal purchase.

Authorities have since seized the vehicle, which is now being held as evidence while investigations continue.

Samuels is expected to return to court on 16 May 2025.

In a comment to Maphephandaba, the actress confirmed that the matter is before the court and denied any wrongdoing. “The allegations are false,” she stated, adding, “The truth will reveal itself in due course.”
