BREAKING: Organ harvest: Ekweremadu, wife guilty – UK Court

Nigeria’s former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice have been found guilty by the United Kingdom Court.

They were standing trial for alleged organ harvest in the UK, having been arrested by the British government.

The couple alongside their ailing daughter, Sonia and Dr Obinna Obeta were also found guilty.

Obinna the Court said was found guilty of facilitating the travel of a young man to Britain with a view to exploiting his organ.

According to the Old Bailey Court where the criminal trial has been going on for the past six-weeks, said, they conspired to bring the 21-year-old Lagos street trader to London to exploit him for his kidney, the jury found on Thursday.

The trial judge, Justice Jeremy Johnson, however, postponed judgement to a later date.
