Three major Television Stations have been sanctioned by the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) over Lekki shootings.
The sanction followed their roles in the alledged shooting of protesters in Lekki by the Nigerian Military which the regulatory agency said led to escalation of violence across the country.
The broadcast stations affected are the African Indepndent Television (AIT), Arise Television and Channels Television.
The fine ranges between N2 million and N3 million for airing unverified images and broadcast of unverified reports.
Since Lekki shootings, the violence has escalated with hoodlums looting government and private properties.
