Body of Abba Kyari arrives Abuja, funeral rites begins according to Islamic rites (Photos)

The former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari,  Mallam Abba Kyari who died of coronavirus disease has arrived Abuja from Lagos. 


Kyari,  who was a strong man in the State House died after battling with the pandemic for three weeks.

 
He was believed to have contracted the disease from Germany where he went on official assignment.

Prayers are being held right away at the defence House for his remains with the Chief Imam of the State House leading. 


Prayers were observed with his body remaining in the ambulance due to the nature of the virus that killed him.

Few government officials on face mask including Garba Shehu were at the prayers.  
The driver of the ambulance with one other person in full  gear attire believed to be officials of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) were at the prayers. 
He would be buried at Gudu cemetery.

Late Abba Kyari hails from Borno State,  North East Nigeria.
