Shehu Sani presents anniversary gift to Zaria photographer after practicing for 51 years
Zaria based photographer, Mr. Peter Oyinbo, who has been practicing for the past 51 years was on Thursday offered an undisclosed amount of money as ‘anniversary gift’ by former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Shehu Sani in Zaria.
In a statement issued and made available to CAPITAL POST in Abuja, said, the presentation was made by the former lawmaker’s aide, Umar Bomber at his photoshop in the ancient city, Zaria.
According to Shehu Sani’s aide, his principal did promise the old time photographer when he paid a condolence visit to the Emirate over the late Emir, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
He explained that the donation was part of Senator Shehu Sani’s way of encouraging Nigerians who live anywhere in the country to be their brother’s keeper.
Receiving the money, Mr. Peter Oyinbo expressed his gratitude to Comrade Shehu Sani for the kind gesture.
He said he arrived Zaria in 1968 and graduated as a photographer in 1976.
“I have been living in Zaria since then and Zaria is my home.
“I married here and have all my children here, some are married now, while others are graduates of different profession.
“I came by locomotive train from Edo State, my home state, but Zaria now is my home .
“I am enjoying warm reception from the Zazzau people who are now my brothers and sisters.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence and imbibe the culture of respect for each others.” He said
Mr. Peter Oyinbo said he has been photographer to personalities like President Muhammadu Buhari, Lates Chief MKO Abiola and Emir of Zazzau, Aminu, Shehu Idris among others.
He however called on well meaning Nigerians to assist his children who are graduates of political science and Business Administration, but are unemployed to get something doing.
